Fun day at the beach of Lake Sammamish

We cooled off at Idlewood Park on Lake Sammamish July 3rd-Rachel ran up and down the beach and Garrett literally stayed in a 10 foot radius-it is amazing how different they are. But my day was made yesterday when Rachel told me Garrett was her best friend...to hear that made me feel so good!

We hit Penrose State Park for an overnight camping trip....I think we might be campers!!

So we ventured out this year and plant a vegetable garden...the usual suspects-tomatoes, lettuce, squash, eggplant, carrots, corn, and potatoes. So far so good!

Garrett is 17 months and as healthy as a horse....we is doing great....the words are coming, but who needs to talk much when you have chatty kathy like Rachel. I just love this picture!

Little Miss Rachel

Well besides always going like gangbusters she is doing great-loves my little ponies good thing I saved all mine from when I was a kid. We can rarely stump her with words. And will be starting ballet in a couple of weeks, which I had so much fun getting her geared up.

Garrett update

Not walking yet. But fast crawler! Just started going down the stairs backwards on his own and I swear his first words are "Got it".

Big Sister

Rachel is falling right into the big sister role-she has to be the one first into Garrett's room whenever he wakes up, she gets him anything he needs if he is crying, and she will be the first one to let him know if he is doing something wrong!

Snow: Love it or Hate That is the Question??

We had the sledding hill in the neighborhood-which was fun for awhile until I could barely walk on the sidewalk to get mail without slipping.

Holiday....Celebrate....

We tried so hard to get the perfect christmas card picture. After many failed attempt and behind the scene drama: bribing our kids with suckers, threatening to not get a tree if Rachel doesn't hold still, hair pulling which is Garrett's only defense, and thank God no one saw the silly things I did to get a smile. so I am going to admit Christmas cards are HARD!

Garrett is 1

I have 2 very different children-Garrett was no holds bar and enjoyed every minute of it and the blue frosting, now Rachel on the other hand doesn't like sticky fingers and when she turned 1 didn't want to have anything to do with the cake. Go figure!!

Yes I admit I am totally to blame for the lack of pictures, postings, and updates. WE are still alive and well. Since the last posting:

Garrett turned 1

We survived the holidays

We have officially been in our house 3 months

And I will be returning to the workforce

It feels like more than it looks once you write it down. Since I have a little catching up to do I better get started!
